End of Summer Blues

Daylight savings ended on Saturday night, it's pouring with rain outside and for the first time in months I'm wearing long pants and a long sleeved shirt. I think today summer is gone. Still, its not the worst thing in the world, the rain sounds quite lovely outside and I'm looking forward to waking up to daylight in the mornings now.

(delicious dinner of Smen-coated Moroccan Lamb...isn't Smen a funny word?)

(on Good Friday we went over to the shore to watch the boys have band practice and party it up in Torbay)

(an actual Easter Egg)

(blonde wig time for our Beatles themed party - all night I got told I looked like Lulu or Garth from Waynes World. Excellent!)

(finally got around to watching Point Break...I was expecting more surfing, less guns but it was still good)

I have had a mammoth past couple of weeks (as the picture of my handy diary shows) and this Easter weekend was especially large - on the Thursday me and my lovely boy celebrated three whole years together (semi-fittingly our anniversary is April Fools Day). We didn't do much, just went out for dinner after work and then fell asleep really early, but it was made even nicer because the next day was Good Friday and we had a nice snuggly sleep in followed by breakfast in bed!

The rest of the week was full of hot cross buns and chocolate eggs, drunken dancing, discovering new music, lazy afternoons and watching old movies. I kind of really wish that every weekend was four days long although I have a feeling it would be terrible for my bank account.

Your hair and that crochet collar are perfection together! The rain may be annoying after all the sun, but the smell of it on concrete is SO good, right?
